Launch of the Inclusive Business Action Network

21 November 2014, Berlin

The Inclusive Business Action Network is a global support network to scale and replicate business models aimed at serving low income populations. Implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the network is a home and single entry point to the global inclusive business community. It provides formats for mutual exchange and peer learning, highlight existing solutions supporting inclusive businesses, promotes partnerships for collective action, creates and makes information and knowledge easily accessible, offers access to implementation support on the ground in a broad range of countries and facilitates dialogue with policy makers on the international and local level.

The Network was launched at a three day event in Berlin from the 18th to the 20th of November 2014. A number of representatives of international institutions, governments, NGOs and private companies, including DeConi, participated in sessions that concentrated on the three main goals of the Inclusive Business Action Network: to inform, connect, and collaborate in the area of inclusive business.
